Our Funding
The Upper Midwest Hazelnut Development Initiative was launched in 2007 with no staff and no money, but thanks to grants from public agencies we have been able to carry out a fairly robust research and development program to help grow a hazelnut industry in the Upper Midwest. Our 10-Year Progress Report is a great way to learn what we've accomplished to-date and what we will be working on in the future. Grant funding is never a sure thing and with declining investments in public Universities the future of hazelnut development work will depend on financial support from individuals and businesses. Consider making a donation today to the Hazelnut Development Fund!
